Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing

The Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) is a globally recognised blood test that can help identify a pregnancy that is at higher risk of being affected by chromosomal conditions.

The test is conducted one of our trained Health Care Assistants by taking a blood sample from the mother in the comfortable environment of our Clinic. It can be performed any time from 10 weeks of pregnancy.

Once taken, the blood sample is sent to the laboratory that day with results provided approximately 3 working days later.

The NIPT screens for:

• Trisomy 21, 18 and 23
• Sex chromosomal disorders such as Turner and Klinefelter syndrome
• The baby’s sex, if you wish

Please note that to undertake the NIPT, you have to have a pregnancy scan already conducted.  Therefore, many patients choose to combine the NIPT in combination with our Early Pregnancy Scan which can be conducted at the same time at our West London clinic. 

The NIPT is optional add-on for each of our all-inclusive private pregnancy packages. It is £295 or £495 in combination with our Early Pregnancy Scan.
