At Westminster Women’s Clinic, we offer a dedicated Pessary Service for women experiencing symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse or stress urinary incontinence. Whether you’re seeking an alternative to surgery or exploring conservative management options, our clinic provides expert, individualised care in a discreet and supportive environment.

A vaginal pessary is a silicone device inserted into the vagina to support areas affected by prolapse, such as the bladder, uterus, or rectum. It can also be used to reduce urinary leakage related to stress incontinence. Pessaries are a safe, reversible, and effective option for many women, particularly those not ready for surgery or wishing to avoid it altogether.

We have three types of appointment available to support you:  

Pessary Fitting Appointment  

This 90 minute appointment includes thorough assessment, fitting and education on pessary use. 

Physio-to-physio pessary fitting service  

We accept referrals from other Pelvic Health Physiotherapists or health care professionals who do not fit pessaries. We will work alongside you to support your patient. 

Pessary Replacement Service  

If you have had a pessary fitted at another clinic or in the NHS, we can offer you support with replacement or ongoing management.
