Our team of Anaesthetists

We have a team of specialist Consultant Anaesthetists that we work consistently with for our planned caesarean births. The Anaesthetists have been selected given their expertise in obstetrics and their personable characteristics.

We understand that having an anaesthetic can be daunting, especially at the same as giving birth to your baby.

For this reason, we recommend booking an appointment during your pregnancy, with the planned Anaesthetist for your delivery.

They can then talk you through their anaesthesia plan and the pain relief regime for your postnatal recovery, as well as answer any of your questions.

In addition, if you have a complex medical history or have had difficulty with an epidural or spinal anaesthesia in a previous pregnancy, this provides the Anaesthetist with the opportunity to explore this further and help minimise the risk of any complications on the day.

All anaesthetist fees are charged separately.
