Ilenia Mazzoli

Midwife

With over a decade of experience, Ilenia Mazzoli is a dedicated Midwife who has devoted her career to supporting women and families through pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Her passion for midwifery was ignited at a young age and solidified by witnessing her first birth at 19. This pivotal experience confirmed her calling and has guided her professional journey ever since.

Ilenia began her midwifery career in Italy, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. Her commitment to global maternity healthcare took her to Tanzania, where she volunteered as a Midwife, an experience that profoundly shaped her both personally and professionally. She then moved to Ireland, practicing in one of the country’s largest maternity hospitals while earning a master’s degree in Midwifery Practice and Leadership. Her master’s thesis, published in a well-regarded medical journal, highlights her dedication to advancing midwifery practice.

Since 2020, Ilenia has been an NMC Registered Midwife, currently working as a Clinical Research Midwife for the NHS. In this role, she contributes to crucial data collection for recent UK studies. Her career has afforded her the privilege of supporting families from diverse cultural backgrounds through hundreds of births in various countries over the years.

Ilenia is deeply committed to providing safe, informed, and personalized care. Her expertise includes antenatal preparation, biomechanics of labour, and holistic preparation for pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.

Her recent experience as a mother herself, having given birth in September 2023, has further enriched her perspective and deepened her empathy in her professional role.
